Your Photography Teacher
"I have never considered photography
as an exclusive club."
We are delighted to announce that Chris Gilbert will be returning to Menorca during 2012 as our photography holiday tutor. Our 2011 guests benefited greatly from his high energy, but non patronising way of passing on photographic knowledge. Whist being a self confessed photography addict, Chris is comfortable teaching all levels and groups. He is also equally at home tutoring men or women.
Chris lives and works in the Peak District, where he has been exhibiting and selling his images for a number of years. He bought his first camera in 1981 (an old second hand Zenith E) and has embraced the gradual progression from slide film to digital. Chris is a top class landscape photographer and his credits include being shortlisted for landscape photographer of the year in 2009. He is also an accredited photographer and supplier for National Geographic magazine. Despite his success, he takes a refreshingly simple view of digital photography.
"I've never seen photography as an exclusive club and am delighted that digital cameras have encouraged more people to get involved and share my passion for taking photos. During the 2011 photography holidays on Menorca, we worked with a whole range of abilities and cameras. Some of the work produced was, quite frankly, outstanding and I can't wait to help people produce more of the same during 2012."

Below are some shots taken by Chris whilst on Menorca. We can't promise that you will reach this level by the end of your holiday, but it won't be for lack of trying on our part.
